Hait Group

We are a theoretical research group in the Department of Chemistry of Columbia University. We develop and use quantum mechanics based tools for studying diverse chemical phenomenon. We are particularly interested in modeling electronic excited states, in order to uncover their role in photochemistry/photocatalysis. We also investigate ground state processes, especially if open-shell species are involved.
